Building Effective Organizational Strategies

In this training video available at Herbers & Company Academy, the Herbers & Company senior consulting team walks Academy members through how to build an effective organizational strategy which starts with defining departments and services first, then defining the needs of the positions within those departments, and then hiring the right people for the positions. By defining the needs of the positions first, capacity can be gained by freeing up the unused time of good talent that can be used elsewhere in the firm. Tools for implementing financial advisor career tracks are provided.

In this training, you will learn:

  • How to map out departments and positions to deliver the best client service

  • How to think about responsibilities of various positions

  • How to hire the right people for the right positions after setting the organizational structure

  • How to avoid building positions around people

  • How to recognize when you need to hire positions
